Fashion: Minnie Mouse inspires designers
The next September, will celebrate Disney Minnie Mouse, one of its most emblematic icons. Different designers recreate through the “Minnie Mouse Must Haves” unique items inspired by his recognizable style. These pieces, which will be presented at the Fashion Week in London, will be auctioned through eBay to support the BFC / Bazaar Fashion Arts Foundation. Moreover, the Spanish fashion render its own tribute to Minnie Mouse-inspired creations with Spanish flavor.
Minnie Mouse inspired fashion from his first appearance as Mickey Mouse’s girlfriend in 1928. To celebrate the timeless appeal of Minnie, renowned designers like Michael van der Ham, Giles, Richard Nicoll, Lulu Guinness, Katie Hillier, Tatty Devine, Bunney, Husam El Odeh in collaboration with Luke Hersheson, Terry de Havilland, and Piers Atkinson perform their emblematic ties and moles. In addition, a unique collaboration with Kirchhoff Medham be unveiled on the catwalk for Spring / Summer 2013.
The “Minnie Mouse Must Haves” will be presented to media and international guests at the Fashion Week in London. After the presentation, each of the pieces will be available at auction on eBay solidarity program, to offer fashion lovers and Disney fans around the world the opportunity to have a unique creation inspired by Minnie. Disney will donate the proceeds from the auction to the BFC / Bazaar Fashion Arts Foundation, an initiative of the British Fashion Council to support the relationship between the creative industries and maintaining a reputation for innovation in fashion. In addition, Disney is working with leading bloggers and beauty brands to bring the public the attractive style of Minnie Mouse.
